I'm a native English speaker, born in Upstate NY and later spent 13 years living in Providence, RI.
In the USA, I taught English to International Students attending Universities such as; Brown, Rhode Island School of Design, Johnson & Wales and Rhode Island College.
My students came from diverse backgrounds such as; Kuwait, Korea and Japan, but all had the common goal of improving their English. I also taught TOEFL prep to students desiring to improve future scores for admission into academic programs.
Now in Vientiane, I teach many types of students.
First, I work with school age children from various backgrounds providing guidance with homework they receive from various International schools.
Secondly, I tutor adults looking to improve their English but from the comfort of their home, or students looking for one-one-one tutoring in preparation for taking TOEFL or IELTS. Private adult students have primarily been Japanese, Lao and Korean. My private tutoring includes English, computer skills, writing skills, media and art.
Lastly, I teach English classes for various companies in central Vientiane. This last group consists of classes generally comprised of 12-16 students.
